Automation Specialist

Position Summary:

The Automation Specialist will be responsible for planning and developing low-code workflow automations, applications, and data storage in order to improve processes and systems. Collaborates cross functionally to seek feasible solutions to needed improvements. They would be responsible for defining and documenting automation processes and ensuring that all development adheres to development standards. They will also be required to mentor and guide other employees within the Bank to ensure that best practices are always followed and that all employees within the Bank understand and can follow the workflows laid out for them.

Collaborates daily with other Managers, Supervisors, and employees to complete workflow development objectives. Uses defined protocols and independent judgment to properly escalate more complex issues to appropriate resource or department manager in order to resolve disruptions in workflow processes in the most expedient manner possible. Independently manages work schedule and monitors workflow to achieve established goals and objectives to meet business deadlines and requirements. Receives assignments in the form of individual projects with defined objectives and/or user stories.

The level of this position is based on years of service, education and/or equivalent experience, knowledge level and skill set. The Automation Specialist position is expected to meet and/or exceed Citizens Alliance Bank’s customer service levels as well as the overall goals of the organization.

 

Essential Functions:

1.  Develop, analyze, and maintain workflows using Power Platform or other low-code automation or RPA software.

2. Participates in team projects in planning, scheduling, and work delivery, including completion of timelines and cost estimates.

3. Generate departmental reports and use or distribute as needed, include basic database management, as applicable.

4.  Work closely with the other business units or development teams to ensure the end-to-end solution meets business requirements.

5. Participate in testing workflows and processes to review the processes and develop any changes needed to the workflow/process.

6. Identify performance improvements in existing workflows and recommend enhancements.

7. Support employees of the Bank with any automation/low-code related technical process issues.

8. Promotes team work to achieve common goals while encouraging individual contributions.

9. Maintains and improves workflows by monitoring system performance; identifying and resolving problems; preparing and completing action plans; completing system audits and analyses; managing system and process improvement and quality assurance programs.

10. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

11. Determines workflow strategies by conducting ongoing needs assessments.

12.  Contributes information and analysis to assist in organizational strategic plans and reviews.

13.  Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to safety and soundness, compliance, and operations.

14.  This position requires a valid Driver’s License.

17.  Travel for trade and industry schools and seminars as needed.

18.  This position may require installation of a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) app on an employee’s personal mobile device. THE MFA apps are used to authenticate a user’s identity to the system for security purposes.

19.  Adhere to and comply with all applicable, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, as well as adhere to the Bank’s policies and procedures.

20.  Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Education and Experience:

Required - High School diploma or GED. Etc.

Required - Continuing Education to maintain job knowledge.

Preferred - One to three years of banking experience or IT/software/technical experience

Preferred - Administrative experience and or customer service experience.

Preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
