  • Ability to enter, compare, and present data in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Develop and implement proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of accounting and reporting duties related to area of accountability.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of data in the accounts and ensures accounting accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain and balance the general ledger system by inputting and verifying data with that of the ERP systems.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of tax accounts to the general ledger.
  • Assist with the submission of sales tax returns for all entities.
  • Research and implement sales tax rules and regulations.
  • Manage journal entries, and reconcile accounts for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
  • Assume ownership of duties as delegated by the Director of Finance.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests, including exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and analytical skills.
  • Should possess a college degree in accounting.
  • Timeliness and promptness with attendance and assignments.
  • Show initiative to continue learning and develop skills.
  • Uphold Dooley’s Petroleum Inc.’s policies and procedures to meet company standards.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in Accounting required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications is expected.
