What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
Ensure exceptional quality assurance and control (QA/QC) throughout the design process.
Provide expert technical guidance to Project Managers and Engineers on design strategies.
Review construction plans to guarantee compliance with MnDOT regulations and standards.
Act as a Project and Consultant Manager, driving transportation projects from concept to execution.
Collaborate to recommend innovative solutions that optimize Minnesota's transportation infrastructure

ATTENTION APPLICANTS:
This vacancy is being posted at two levels; only one position will be filled. The levels are Engineer Senior and Engineer 2 Graduate. The class and starting salary are dependent on the successful applicant’s qualifications.
This position is located in Willmar and will have the flexibility to work a hybrid telework schedule or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications - Engineer 2 Graduate:
To qualify for Engineer 2 Graduate, applicants must meet all the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC.
- A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Two years post-graduation civil engineering work.
- A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or it’s equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC AND
- A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- One (1) year of post-graduate civil engineering work.
- Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals & Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
