HR Supervisor – Lead, Innovate, Transform
Are you ready to shape the future of workforce excellence at MnDOT? We’re seeking a dynamic HR Supervisor to lead our District 8 Human Resources team and drive impactful strategies that align with MnDOT’s mission and values.
In this role, you’ll provide visionary leadership and expert guidance across a broad range of HR functions, including:

  • Strategic staffing and selection.
  • Classification and compensation.
  • Labor relations and worker’s compensation.
  • Training, development, and benefits administration.
  • Affirmative action and drug and alcohol testing.
As a key partner in achieving District 8’s goals, you’ll ensure HR activities are seamlessly executed to support district-wide success. You’ll also enjoy opportunities for local and occasional overnight travel as you collaborate with teams across the region.

Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of professional human resources experience that demonstrates the following:
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying federal and state personnel laws, rules, procedures, labor contracts, and plans.
  • Experience in labor relations, including handling grievances, conducting investigations, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining effective labor-management relationships. 
  • Experience in HR related activities such as job evaluation, recruitment and selection, compensation, worker’s compensation, benefits, and equal opportunity employment/affirmative action.
Please note: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Management (w/HR concentration), Organizational Development/Management, Public Administration or closely related field may substitute for one year of the professional human resources experience.
