Direct Support Professional - DSP

WCI was founded in 1962 and provides job skills, community job placement and non-vocational training to people with disabilities. We are looking for excellent candidates to help fulfill our mission by providing support and training to the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional include:

• Support life enrichment skill development during Waivered Services Programming hours, as needed.

• Assist with supervising volunteer and crew opportunities within the community.

• Oversee production tasks, directing workflow to meet customer and WCI schedules in assigned work pods.

• Actively contribute to plan development and implement training in alignment with each individual’s CSSP Addendum.

• Accurately record daily time and attendance for persons served using electronic systems.

• Assist individuals with toileting and personal hygiene needs.

• Help maintain cleanliness and organization of WCI spaces, as assigned, including light janitorial duties.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks.

• Able to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.

• Motivated to support others and celebrate their success while approaching each person with kindness, patience, and compassion.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

• Ability to pass Criminal Background Check.
