Job Summary
Ready to make a difference providing treatment to some of Minnesota’s most vulnerable kids? Tired of hours spent in prior authorization calls and utilization reviews? Wish you could spend time treating patients over weeks instead of days in an inpatient setting? The Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Hospital (CABHH) in Willmar, Minnesota has an opportunity for a skilled and compassionate child and adolescent psychiatrist to provide quality care as part of an interdisciplinary team. As the attending psychiatrist, you will be working with children between the ages of 6 and 18 who are admitted from multiple referral sources, including hospitals and community settings, and providing treatment collaboratively with psychiatric and primary care practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, rehab workers and other mental health professionals. The psychiatrist will provide clinical direction and leadership to an interdisciplinary team in a 16-bed hospital, overseeing assessment and treatment coordination by psychiatric and primary care APRNs, psychology, social work, and allied health team members.
As part of the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) administration, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS) division, CABHH is a 16-bed modern behavioral health hospital, which provides hospital level care to children with mental illness.
