Position Responsibilities:
- In depth understanding of consumer regulations, working with bank compliance
- Provide service to Bank customers, the position requires an in-depth knowledge of all retail banking products and services:
Lending Products: Secured & Unsecured Consumer Loans/RE loans/MHFA
Program Loans including Laser Pro, Encompass, and NADA programs.
Convenience Products: Debit/ATM Cards, On-Line Banking, Elan Credit Card, Mobiliti, etc.
- Present products and services to prospective customers, and proactively cross sell suitable products to existing customers
- This person will service their own portfolio, assisting with customer inquiries and/or problems and provide effective follow-up to customer satisfaction. Maintain existing accounts to the satisfaction of the customer and per guidelines in place by the bank. This includes handling past due loans, overdrawn checking accounts and perfecting titles as needed on loans.
- Provide ongoing account maintenance for customers following applicable bank policies and banking regulations while providing assistance to others in the department and bank wide as applicable.
- Required to comply with the SAFE ACT including successful initial and ongoing registration with the registry.
- Interview and approve or decline consumer and RE loan applications and analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility and ‘best fit’ for customer for loan and deposit type following underwriting guidelines specified in the Lake Region Bank Loan Policy, or program guidelines.
- Willingly accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Prepare and administer loan agreement, bridge loans and extensions, establishing terms under which credit will be extended, including costs, repayment method and schedule and late fees.
- Generate loan documentation.
- Secure insurance on collateral according to loan policy
- Monitor and manage loan portfolio, ensuring delinquencies are within policy guidelines.
- Provide teller support as necessary.
- Acting as duo control where needed and by evaluating transactions requiring supervisor override.
- Providing transaction assistance to customers as needed. 12Provide input and aid in development of new and maintenance of existing consumer products.
- Willingly accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Attendance at various community functions, some outside of normal work hours may be required.
- Maintain existing accounts to the satisfaction of the customer and per guidelines in place by the bank. This includes handling past due loans and over drawn checking accounts.
- Attendance at various community functions, some outside of normal work hours may be required.
- Bankruptcy paperwork- prepare reaffirmations agreements for the bank.
- Attend retail meetings.
- Education: Skill knowledge level equivalent to a four-year college degree preferred.
- Experience: Must have proven experience in consumer lending (including real estate lending), have customer service experience and skill, supervisory experience a plus.
