Payment Services Specialist

Position Summary:

This position will complete daily Wire/ACH transactions in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures. Collaborates on problem solving and process improvement efforts, in order to maintain and continuously improve Wire/ACH operations policies, procedures, and performance.

This position must be flexible in dealing with the needs of several team members and departments. The Payment Services Specialist I will serve as an advocate of the Bank, promote the Bank's products, services and overall, Citizens Alliance Bank's brand.

The level of this position is based on years of service, education and/or equivalent experience, knowledge level and skill set.

 

Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Essential Function and Skill satisfactorily. 1. Originate and verify all wire transfers including importing and processing.

2. Receive incoming and initiate outgoing wires transmittals.

3. Receive incoming and initiate outgoing ACH batch transmittals.

4. Return ACH items.

5. Send notification of change of ACH files.

6. Research ACH/wire transactions as needed.

7. Monitor and maintain wire transfer logs.

8. Monitor customer activity.

9. Complete follow-up with customers.

10. Gather statistical information as requested or required.

11. Be Proficient with the Bank's Core Operating System, Excel and Word.

12. Ability to architect and drive change by enlisting support of management.

13. Maintain complete confidentiality with regard to sensitive customer and proprietary information.

14. Ability to Multitask.

16. Regular attendance and punctuality when reporting to work.

17. Travel for trade and industry schools and seminars as needed.

18. This position may require installation of a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) app on an employee’s personal mobile device. THE MFA apps are used to authenticate a user’s identity to the system for security purposes.

19. Adhere to and comply with all applicable, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to BSA/AML, as well as adhere to the Bank’s policies and procedures.

20. Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Education and Experience: 

Required - High School diploma or GED.

Required - Continuing Education to maintain job knowledge.

Preferred - Three to Five years of banking experience.

Preferred - Three to Five years of Administrative experience.

Preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with loan documentation and boarding software.
