West Central Communications, A DSC Communications, is a leader in two-way radio communications, video security, and access control systems.  The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible to position and sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on. The outside sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at prospecting, generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it’s essential that our sales rep be personable and professional.
 
Reports To:  Business Development Manager
 
Objectives of this Role

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding to identify how our solutions meet needs.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual activity and sales goals through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Generate leads and build relationships through planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential sales prospects.
  • Drive solutions that generate monthly recurring revenue (MRR) for the company.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly prospecting activity to generate new first-time appointments (FTAs).
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
  • Show aggressive prospecting techniques including dials, direct stop-ins, Center of Influence, and referral generation.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of interactions with prospects including next steps and future follow up.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling.
  • Prepare professional, complete, concise, and accurate proposals and other documentation as required.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers often utilizing product demos and presentations.
  • Maintain training and certification requirements as required by vendors.
Organizational Alignment
  • Enlists the support of Business Development Manager and Service Coordinator and other sales and management resources as needed.
  • Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Extensive travel within territory for prospecting and client appointments.
Must have valid driver’s license
