Responsibilities

  • Greets, assists and directs customers
  • Answers phone in a professional manner and assists customer directly
  • Answers phone and directs customer to correct staff, or takes and relays clear, complete messages
  • Maintains, stocks and cleans displays and merchandise
  • Designs and sets up displays on the showroom floor with appropriate signage
  • Sets up and maintains Electronic Price Labels
  • Generates and executes ideas for sales, promotions and advertisements
  • Maintains knowledge of and sells showroom, Stihl, and lawn and garden products
  • Performs cycle counting duties to verify inventory
  • Picks and ships online orders as needed
  • Calls customers for parts pick-up
  • Delivers parts if needed
  • Assists with special projects as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Maintains a clean, professional personal appearance
  • Reports to work on time and when scheduled
  • Employs good time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrates good work ethic
  • Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
  • Maintains a positive and professional working relationship and works cooperatively with co-workers and management
  • Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service   
  • Promotes the parts department to customers
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments 
  • Completes training required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Routinely lifts items weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
      
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
  • 1+ years of retail experience
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, internet functions and dealer business system(s)
  • Able to bend, lift and carry
  • Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
