Children's Museum Attendant

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum age of 18
- Additional training as required by the position
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Experience leading activities or events is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and check-in members as they enter introducing themes, activities, and programming going on that day.
- Sign up new members and daily admission guests
- Schedule birthday parties and events upon request
- On occasion, tend to birthday parties or private events scheduled accordingly
- Enforcement of Village rules when needed
- Interact with adults and children throughout your scheduled time
- Printing necessary materials, preparing activities and assist with questions.
- Clean up as needed throughout open hours
- Perform closing procedures including reporting for daily financial statements.
- End of day cleaning (after closing)
- Assisting the Museum Manager as needed with duties. These duties may include:
- Cleaning tasks of the Village as directed by The Village Manager.
- Clerical tasks as directed by the Museum Manager, including filing and data entry.
- Preparing materials for programming and new exhibits.
- Decorating and event set up.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPORTING
- Hours recorded at the beginning of and end of shift via Homebase
- Primarily accountable to the Museum Manager
- Be available for trainings as needed
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
- Compensation and time allotted: $15-17/hour depending upon experience.
- Schedule varies but would include weekday evening shifts and weekend shifts to cover birthday parties and field trips, as discussed and agreed upon, by Museum Manager and Museum Attendant.
- Complementary museum membership for the duration of your employment with The Village.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
