We have partnered with a fast-paced, growing construction company that is looking to expand their HR team. Our client is looking for a professional that is a strong communicator and is adaptable to changing priorities.
POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator
Hours: M-F 8 – 4:30Benefits: Employee benefits shall be those selected by the employee as customarily provided by the employer. Further information is available on the Benefit Statement.

Receives Work Direction From: Operations Manager
Supervisor to: None
Provides Work Direction to: No direct reports, serves as a coach and mentor to other positions.
Resource Person to: Ownership, leadership, staff
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The HR Coordinator will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including screening, hiring and interviewing staff, onboarding, orientation, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Help create a productive, positive, and harmonious work environment.* Be present where needed, ready to work for all scheduled hours and as needed to meet responsibilities. Includes recognizing when situations require more effort, putting in more time when needed, satisfying responsibilities in a timely manner, providing an example of punctuality and attendance and generally ensuring that all is taken care of in a professional and timely manner.
- *Works with HRIS to maintain HR records. Currently using Paychex.
- *Recruits, screens, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- *Conducts or acquires employee eligibility verifications.
- *Implements new hire orientation and onboarding.
- *Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- *Build rapport with leadership and management in order to run the HR department smoothly.
- *Takes on daily tasks as collaborates with Vinna Human Resources to build HR Department foundation and processes.
- *Annual compliance document: OHSA certifications, DLs, Insurance, Workplace Safety Policy and Transportation policy.
- *Works with Vinna Human Resources to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- *Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- *Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- *Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- *Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Organizes annual employee recognition.
- Performs other duties as that you see need to be done and as assigned.
- Includes other responsibilities identified as needed by the employee and approved and/or assigned by the ownership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including but not limited to compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Associates Degree or Certification preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current and valid vehicle insurance.
