Logistics Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Logistics Manager to lead our logistical operations. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of fuel products, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize the delivery of gas, fuel, and propane to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Management:

• Oversee the scheduling, routing, and tracking of transport trucks to optimize delivery efficiency and minimize unnecessary miles.

2. Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of dispatchers and drivers to achieve operational goals and provide exceptional customer service.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance team skills and efficiency.

3. Cost Management:

• Analyze logistical operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality and reliability.
• Optimize transportation routes, fuel efficiency, and other operational processes to achieve budgetary goals.

4. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to the transportation of gas, fuel, and propane products.

5. Inventory Control:

• Develop and implement inventory management systems in an effort to maintain optimal product inventory levels.

6. Technology Integration:

• Leverage logistics and supply chain management software to streamline processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making.

7. Reporting and Analytics:

• Generate regular reports and analyses on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, inventory management, and transportation costs.
• Utilize data insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience of at least 5 years in logistics management, particularly within the gas and fuel industry or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, regulation, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
