Parts Counter Specialist @ Willmar

Purpose 
Provide exceptional customer service while working with customers to determine and fill parts needs accurately and in a timely manner. 
 
 
Responsibilities 

  • Provides excellent customer service to customers at the counter, phone customers and the service department 
  • Provides recommendation for sales of additional related or needed parts or accessories 
  • Processes in-store orders in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Completes orders by communicating with customers on pick-up or delivery status 
  • Locates and obtains merchandise for customers, whether in-stock, out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise 
  • Maintains inventory integrity by verifying receipting-in of shipments and assisting with placing parts orders in their proper inventory locations; assisting in cycle counts; following up on inventory discrepancies and expediting issues by reporting to department manager 
  • Assists with maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays 
  • Routinely lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Completes training required for the development of skills and knowledge 
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities 
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion 
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments 
  • Works cooperatively in a team environment 
  • Demonstrates a good work ethic
  • Employs good time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service   
  • Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
  • Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products   
 
 
Experience, Skills and Knowledge  
  • 1+ years experience with parts sales preferred
  • Experience connecting with customers and establishing rapport 
  • Able to maintain a professional image
  • Demonstrates basic understanding of the selling processes 
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently 
  • Able to bend, lift and carry
  • Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
