4th of July in Spicer

Event Description
The July 4 weekend is packed full of activities in Spicer on beautiful Green Lake.
 
On the evening of July 2 the Briggs & Motley Arts and Crafts Fair and Flea Market and Denny’s Petting Zoo opens, featuring farm animals and pony rides.  It’s located west of state Highway 23 in Spicer.
 
On Saturday, July 3, Dad’s Belgium waffle feed is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Spicer American Legion.
 
The kid’s pedal pull begins at 9:30 a.m. on Access Drive/Progress Way. The annual Hoops by the Lake basketball competition will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saulsbury Beach, the volleyball tournaments begin at 8 a.m. on Saulsbury Beach and the softball tournament begins at 8 a.m. a the Spicer’s Green Lake Diamonds.
 
The town really starts to rock on July 3 during the street dance and beer garden by the downtown park on Green Lake.  The popular Minnesota band, "Hairball," will play from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
 
The Briggs & Motley Arts and Crafts Fair and Flea Market and petting zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. west of state Highway 23 and antique flea market is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the south side of Bell Tower Plaza.
 
On July 4, festivities begin with the Spicer Lion’s pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the church service on Saulsbury Beach at 8 a.m.  The softball tournament begins at 8 a.m. at Spicer’s Green Lake Diamonds.
 
The Kiddie Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. (line-up begins at 9 a.m.) in downtown Spicer and the Grand Day Parade begins at 10 a.m.  The parade travels down Lake Avenue in Spicer.
 
Pre-registration for the Green Lake Road Race will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Melvin’s on the Lake on July 5.
 
The Stingers Baseball game begins at 6 p.m. at the Green Lake Basball Diamonds on July 4.
 
The New London-Spicer Community Band performs at 7:30 p.m. at Saulsbury Beach and fireworks over Green Lake will begin at 10 p.m.
 
The Briggs & Motley Arts and Crafts Fair and Flea Market and Denny’s Petting Zoo is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 4 and the antique flea market is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 
On Monday, July 5, the festivities continue with the 12-mile Green Lake Road Race.  Runners will begin the competitive race at 7 a.m. at Melvin’s on the Lake.  For additional information and events visti www.spicermn.com
