Women & Men: Similarities and Differences in Dependency and Freedom

Event Description Nationally known speakers and authors Karen Casey, Ph.D. and Dan Griffin, MA, CADC, will be sharing their knowledge of working with "Women and Men: Similarities and Differences in Dependency and Freedom." Registration and a light breakfast take place at 8:30am. The training will begin with a welcome and remarks by Mike Schiks, Project Turnabout Executive Director/CEO at 9:00am. Karen will be speaking about "Women, Dependency, and Freedom" from 9:30-11:45am. A free open lunch will be provided by Project Turnabout. From 12:30-2:30pm, Dan will address the topic "A Holistic Approach to Men's Treatment and Recovery." A panel discussion and question opportunity will take place with Karen, Dan, and Mike from 2:30-3:00pm. A book sale and signings by Karen and Dan and optional tours of Project Turnabout will close out the day. The targeted audience for this event includes mental health, family/human services, social workers, assessors, clergy, prevention, and other interested persons. Certificates of completion for contact hours will be awarded at the commencement of training.
